Rocker Prince was chosen as one of the two "World's Sexiest Vegetarians" for 2006, a leading US-based animal rights group said.
Purple Rain crooner Prince, shares the honor with Kristen Bell, star of the US television show Veronica Mars, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said in a statement.
More than 40,000 people chose the pair by voting on the PETA website.
"Both of this year's winners are more than just sexy vegetarians -- they're also active animal lovers," the group said in a statement.
Prince, who briefly identified himself with an unpronouncable trumpet-like symbol but whose real name is Prince Rogers Nelson, is set to turn 48 in June.
He follows Chris Martin, lead singer of the British rock band Coldplay, who PETA supporters elected in 2005.
Past "sexiest vegetarians" include Hollywood actors Tobey Maguire, Josh Hartnett, Alicia Silverstone and Natalie Portman.
