Obscure song choices have ended Reigan Derry's Australian Idol journey.
The West Australian receptionist was eliminated from the reality program on Monday night ahead of male competitors Ricky Muscat and Guy "Mutto" Mutton, who were voted into the bottom three by the Australian public.
Derry sang rock song Themata by little-known band Karnivool on Sunday night, in an evening of rock'n'roll classics performed by the remaining 11 Idol hopefuls.
Her choice last week of George's Breathe In Now was another song that didn't hit the right note with the public and placed her in the bottom three.
The 17-year-old said despite being eliminated, the public had not seen the last of her.
"You will (see me again) so you better watch out," she smiled.
"This is good enough, I have done my battle, this is good enough."
Ten contestants now remain in the hunt for the title of Australian Idol.
