Screen star Jennifer Aniston has denied rumours that she has split up with actor Vince Vaughn, it was reported overnight.
But the 37-year-old said the pair are not engaged, according to audience members who attended the taping of an interview for the Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago.
Aniston also said she did not have breast implants, as recently reported in a US tabloid, explaining that when she puts on weight it goes to her chest.
US media reported last week that the couple, who started dating after meeting on the set of romantic comedy The Break-Up in the summer of 2005, had broken up.
The actress rolled her eyes when asked by Winfrey about Vince Vaughn, but made it clear the two are "still on", according to audience member Suzanne Hartigan.
Aniston, who wore a black-tiered skirt and tank top, took part in the show to promote a film about relationships she had co-directed, and became "teary-eyed" when she talked about it.
Margaret Stent, another audience member, said: "(The film) said that relationships aren't luck, they're hard work, and I think that was really meaningful to people Jen got a little teary-eyed when she was talking about it, too. It was personally meaningful to her."
The short film, entitled Room 10 was produced for Glamour magazine's Reel Moments series, which is based on true stories from readers.
It tells the story of a nurse who gains perspective on her marital problems while caring for a dying patient.
"It was very empowering for women seeing that a real story can be made in film," says audience member and aspiring filmmaker Amy Ferguson.
The night before the taping, Winfrey and Aniston had dinner at upscale French and Asian restaurant Japonais, which the actress and Vaughn frequented while they were filming The Break-Up.
According to sources, Winfrey and Aniston were in a party of six and chose to sit in a booth at the back of the main dining area and were very friendly.
