The hotel room where Anna Nicole Smith died is due to reopen under a
new number after a local shaman reportedly performed a spiritual
cleansing ritual.
Room 607 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida has been
completely gutted, remodeled and refurnished.
The luxury $800-a-day suite, where Anna Nicole died of an overdose in
February, will now reopen with a new number.
Gary Bitner, a spokesman for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which runs the
hotel, said: "We did not want that room to become a shrine."
He refused to confirm or deny that a Seminole shaman performed a
spiritual cleansing ceremony on the room.
According to rumours, this was done before and after the renovation
work, which was completed two months ago.
The reports come as it emerged that a large envelope said to contain
a set of Anna Nicole's x-rays turned up in a bin at the apartment
block where controversial judge Larry Seidlin lives.
The former taxi driver achieved notoriety after bizarre and emotional
performances as he ruled over the trial to decide where the former
Playmate's ashes would be buried.
It is unknown how the envelope, marked "x-rays" and addressed to Anna
Nicole ended up there, but Seidlin's attorney said the judge knows
nothing about it.
It looks set to be returned to Anna Nicole's estate.
