A young mother prostituted herself in front of her children and snorted lines of cocaine off the stomach of her newborn baby while breastfeeding him, US police say.
Officers arrested Wendy Cook after she allegedly performed oral sex on men on two separate occasions while her 8-week-old son and 5-year-old daughter were in the back seat of the car she was in.
Investigators say Cook had been out on an all-night drug binge in the New York county of Saratoga Springs.
According to a police report, the 37-year-old snorted lines of cocaine off the infant's stomach as she breastfed him while driving around town in a drug-fuelled spree.
After she was arrested, Cook allegedly told friends she was going to sell her children to get more drugs.
Both of the children are now staying with relatives.
Police officers in Saratoga Country have called the act one of the most despicable they have ever seen.
She is being held in Schenectady County Jail on charges of fourth-degree prostitution.
She also faces child endangerment charges.
Officers caught the woman during a crackdown on the city's widespread prostitution.
Cook offered herself to an undercover police officer and it was at that point officers realised her children were just metres away in her car, according to the report.
The woman is due to reappear in court today and denied a jailhouse interview.
She is being charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, first-degree felony reckless endangerment and fourth-degree prostitution.
