The son of wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan is sweating on drug and alcohol test results ahead of a likely court hearing about a high-speed car crash that left his best friend permanently disabled.
Nick Bollea was allegedly driving at high speed in wet conditions and police say he "disregarded other traffic control" when he lost control of his Toyota Supra and slammed into a median wall in Florida earlier this year, tmz.com reports.
His friend John Graziano, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was critically injured and remains in hospital with brain damage from which doctors say he will never recover.
Police sources told the celebrity gossip website that the investigation into the case will be wrapped up by November, and it appears the decision on whether or not to press charges hinges on the result of blood samples taken after the crash.
Nick's father — real name Terry Bollea — is almost certainly the best known professional wrestler in the world and has been at the forefront of the industry's move to prominence in the entertainment world since the early 1980s.
He and his family feature in the fly-on-the-wall documentary series Hogan Knows Best, which is shot in their Florida mansion with Nick frequently featuring in episodes.
