The world's most controversial animal rights group has launched a stinging attack on the Olsen Twins over their refusal to stop wearing fur.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has set up a satirical website called "Meet the Trollsen Twins", featuring caricatures "Hairy-Kate" and "Trashley".
PETA mocks the Olsen twins who are renowned for their penchant for fur in a parody of a Full House episode, where a character from the 21st century turns up at the Michelles' doorstep to expose their "sick" future.
The animal rights group will today reveal a new "Trollsen" billboard tagged "Fur Is Worn By Beautiful Animals and Ugly People" adjacent to the twins' star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The PETA website also lets users "dress up" some stick-thin and mole-encrusted sketches of the Trollsens in "fatal fashion".
As each item of fur is added to Hairy-Kate or Trashley, a growing pool of blood gathers on the floor.
"No-one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on the backs," said a statement released by PETA.
The PR-savvy group's crusade has featured a number of celebrities, including Alicia Silverstone and Eva Mendes, posing naked in support of a ban on fur.
