Italian police are hunting a man suspected of using hypnotic mind-control techniques to rob cashiers.
Police have released footage of the bandit in action, in an attempt to warn supermarket and bank staff of his beguiling tricks, the Glasgow Daily Record reports.
The footage shows the man persuading a 35-year-old worker at a supermarket at Jesi in northern Italy to hand over $1200.
The last thing the staff member remembered was the conman telling her "look into my eyes".
Since then he has hit a bank in Ancona, tricking a female clerk into giving him over $1300, before strolling out the door.
Neither cashier had any memory of handing over cash.
Police believe the man, who is in his 40s and is of Indian, Pakistani or African decent, has a female accomplice who distracts other customers in line while the hypnotising takes place.
