Isabel Lucas' mother says the young Australian actress is fine and back at work after being in a car accident with young Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf.
LaBeouf was booked for a misdemeanour drink driving and underwent surgery for injuries to his left hand.
But police in Los Angeles say LaBeouf was not to blame for the early morning accident, with the other driver at fault for apparently running a red light.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said detectives had determined that the other driver, who has not been identified, ran the light and will also be cited.
"He was not at fault," Whitmore said of the actor, who has been filming the sequel to the movie Transformers, in which Lucas also appears.
Lucas and the driver of the other vehicle were not seriously injured.
Beatrice Lucas, the mother of the former Home and Away star, says her daughter is fine and back at work.
"There has been an enormous media thing with this in the (United) States," Ms Lucas told The Cairns Post from her north Queensland home.
"From Isabel's perspective, it was just a normal car accident.
"She's back at work now."
Ms Lucas said her daughter was not hurt in the crash, but was concerned for LaBeouf.
She also said her daughter did not believe the Indiana Jones star was under the influence of alcohol.
"Isabel would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving," she said.
