Angelina Jolie will deliver Brad Pitt’s baby in France as a tribute to her dying mother, says Britain’s Sun newspaper.
Marcheline Betrand, Jolie’s mother, wants her future grand child to have links to her own native France as part of the ‘circle of life’.
According to The Sun , Bertrand, who lives in the US, has terminal uterine cancer.
A family friend says “Angelina is torn between wanting to be close to her gravely-ill mum in America and respecting her wishes by having the baby in France. She adores her mother and wants more than anything for her to be around to see her firstborn.”
Meanwhile, residents in Italy where the couple were due to wed on the weekend are greatly disappointed by the no show says the BBC.
Bar owner, Pietro Sacchi, says rumours of Brad and Angie marrying near Lake Como had been a boom for business.
"I doubled the number of clients this week," Pietro says.
Laglio mayor, Simona Saladini spent the weekend waiting by the phone in case the ceremony went ahead.
Police and security were also on alert around George Clooney’s Lake Como property, the supposed site of Pitt and Jolie’s Italian Wedding.
Officially publicists for the couple remain tight lipped refusing to comment on either the wedding or the impending birth of the couple’s first child.
