Halle Berry is expecting her first child with boyfriend Michael Ealy, according to reports.
The New York Daily News writes that the 39-year-old actress has made no secret that she's ready for motherhood.
The twice-divorced Berry told Oprah in March she’s desperate for a child before she turns 40.
"If there's no serious man, whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby? I'll sign a paper that will say I won't ask you for one red cent.'"
The Oscar-winning actress started dating 32-year-old Ealy, with whom she co-starred in the ABC America television drama Their Eyes Were Watching God, after divorcing singer Eric Benet in January 2005 after four years together.
Her previous marriage to former baseball star David Justice in 1992 lasted five years.
Despite being step-mother to Benet’s daughter India, Berry yearns a child of her own and would even resort to artificial insemination or adoption.
"It looks like the only option I have left is to head for the sperm bank”, she told World Entertainment News Network earlier this year.
“I've been so desperately unlucky in love and that has thwarted my desire for motherhood It's so frustrating. The only other option would be adoption… I can't wait much longer".
