The three men killed by a bomb outside Sydney's Hilton Hotel 30 years ago will be remembered at the site of the attack.
A bomb concealed in a garbage bin exploded when it was loaded into a council garbage truck in the early hours of February 13, 1978.
Then prime minister Malcolm Fraser and 11 visiting heads of state were staying at the hotel at the time for a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Council workers Alec Carter and Arthur Favell and NSW police officer Paul Burmistriw died in the blast and seven others were wounded.
Though one person confessed to the bombing and implicated another person, his evidence was discredited, leaving the case unsolved.
NSW Police Minister David Campbell will join others at 2.30pm (AEDT) on Wednesday to rededicate a plaque commemorating the victims of the attack.
Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the anniversary served as a reminder to those affected by the bombing.
"This terrible act killed three decent and dedicated men, two of whom were working for the City of Sydney," Ms Moore said in a statement.
"But now we can rededicate this plaque so that future generations remember them and remember the shocking crime that took their lives."
