Greens leader Bob Brown is pushing hi-tech boundaries by adopting podcasting techniques to update his website.

Using the new technology Senator Brown can send a message on his mobile telephone to an internet voice mail service.

This is uploaded on his website and sent out to subscribers who automatically receive the new "BobCast" on their computer, iPod or mp3 player.

"I am not techno-savvy, but I enjoy stopping every now and then to talk about the issue of the moment as we see it," Mr Brown said.

He said the technology would allow people to get a direct Greens point of view on news as events unfolded.
