Almost 300 of the facial hair-wearing elite gathered from 11 countries for the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Anchorage, Alaska.
Competition categories ranged from the Dali moustache to side-burned mutton chops to the full beard freestyle.
"It was a great year for beards," founder and Beard Team USA captain Phil Olsen said. "The competition was stiff."
Local competitor David Traver, 43, was crowned overall winner for his woven beard fashioned into the shape of a snowshoe.
