Country music star Keith Urban says he can't spend more than 12 days apart from movie star wife Nicole Kidman.
Speaking with Channel Nine's 60 Minutes, Urban said that he will only tour for 12 days at a time, in order to be with his wife as much as possible.
The pair are often working on opposite sides of the world, he with his music, and Kidman in film.
But the 40-year-old said he restricted his touring schedule to ensure the couple do not spend too much time apart.
"I don't want to be away from my wife for more than two weeks - I prefer it to be even less," said Urban, who has sold more than 10 million albums during his career.
"I tour for 12 days and then I come home, and then I tour, and then come home. Back and forward."
Asked where home is, Urban, who grew up in Queensland but now works out of Nashville in the United States, said home was "wherever my wife is".
"She can be in a hotel in Shanghai for a week, and if that's where I get to be able to go then as soon as I walk in I feel at home," he said.
Urban said he had moved on from his high-profile alcohol addiction that forced him into rehab just months after marrying Kidman in Sydney last year.
He left California's Betty Ford Centre in January and says that thanks to Kidman, he now has his life back on track.
"It was great to find an Aussie girl," he said.
"I love playing music again. I love that there is balance in my life. I truly never had that before. I'm in a very good place."
Asked if he and Kidman wanted to have kids, Urban enthusiastically replied: "Yes, absolutely".
