The OECD reduced its forecasts for US economic growth to 0.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter of this year and zero for the second, in an update of key first-half predictions published.
It forecast euro zone growth of 0.5 per cent and 0.4 per cent in the first and second quarters, marginally higher than its previous first-quarter prediction and marginally lower than its previous projection for the second quarter.
It lowered its forecasts marginally for Japan as well, to 0.3 per cent in the first quarter and 0.2 per cent in the second.
For Britain, it predicted 0.6 per cent growth in both the first and second quarters.
It forecast German growth of 0.6 per cent in the first quarter and 0.4 per cent in the second, French growth of 0.4 per cent in both quarter and Italian growth of 0.3 per cent in both quarters.
For Canada it predicted 0.3 and 0.2 per cent respectively.
