Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher loves being a mum so much, she is considering adopting a second child.
Despite her successful acting career and the current fame she is enjoying with her starring role on Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher, a single mother, was reported as saying to ABC's Good Morning America that she can still feel "very fragile and very insecure."
The actress has biological daughter Emerson, eight, and now longs to add to her family.
She explains, "Emerson and I have talked about it. She wants it to be a girl, and I think she'd be a great big sister."
"But the way I look at it, one child would have a father and one wouldn't. One child would come and go from (the father's) house, and one wouldn't."
"I'm not saying it's impossible... (but) I haven't completely given up on finding a partner."
Fans of the Hollywood actress might recall how a sobbing Teri Hatcher recently opened up to talkshow host Oprah Winfrey about years of sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her uncle.
It was the actor's first TV interview on the subject since revealing in March 2006, that she had been molested as a child.
Hatcher told the talk-show host that the worst thing she recalled about the ordeals.
"He was touching me and he said to me, 'Doesn't this feel good?'," Hatcher said. "It is something that I've really struggled with because ... if I let sex feel good, if I let sex be what a woman should have with a man that she cares about, then somehow he was right."
The actress was also reported as saying on the Oprah Winfrey show that she
is now a single women again after being dumped by boyfriend Ryan Seacrest, on the phone.
