Australian building approvals fell 0.6 per cent to 12,814 units in October, seasonally adjusted, from an upwardly revised 12,898 units in September, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said on Tuesday.
In the year to October, building approvals were up 11.7 per cent.
The median market forecast was for building approvals to have recorded a rise of 2.0 per cent in the month.
