A high-profile British television presenter has admitted he sent flirtatious text messages to a topless model behind his wife's back.
Vernon Kay, who hosts the popular game show All Star Family Fortunes, revealed to Britain's The Sun newspaper he had exchanged racy SMS and Twitter messages with Rhian Sugden.
But Kay, 35, denied he had a sexual relationship with the 23-year-old model, who has appeared topless several times in the paper's Page 3 section.
His wife Tess Daly — herself the host of reality show Strictly Come Dancing — has not spoken publicly since the scandal broke.
The newspaper claims to have seen some of the messages exchanged between Kay and Sugden but did not publish them because they are of "an explicit nature".
Sugden reportedly said the texting began after she met Kay at a nightclub near Manchester.
The scandal appears set to shatter Kay's well-cultivated clean public image.
He and Daly have two children, Phoebe, five, and Amber, eight months.
