Bracken turns heads with 'nude' dress

Pace bowler Nathan Bracken's wife Haley stole the show at the Allan Border Medal last night with a see-through dress she designed herself.

Mrs Bracken said she would wear the mermaid-train mesh gown to the Mrs World Australia and Mrs Globe Australian competitions later this year, the Herald Sun reports.

"I wanted something that would be eye-catching," she said.

Husband Nathan said he was unsure how the frock might look when his wife first described the daring design to him.

"But when I saw it all come together, it was amazing," the cricketer said.

Bracken's outfit has been compared to the eye-popping garb Brynne Gordon wore to the Brownlow Medal awards last year.

Ms Gordon wore a glittering bikini which showed off her cleavage and stomach on top of a sequinned gown by US label Murielle.

Meanwhile, Lara Bingle also turned heads with her unique take on accessorising.

The star swapped jewellery for temporary tattoos which were drawn on like necklaces and bracelets.
