A candid nude photograph of model Lara Bingle, reportedly taken by former lover Brendan Fevola, has been published in a magazine.
The topless photo featuring Bingle is understood to have been circulating among Australia's elite sportsman for years, according to Woman's Day.
The snap was taken on a mobile phone camera and distributed to other AFL players across multiple clubs, the magazine said.
An unnamed AFL player told the magazine that photo was now "everywhere".
"Fev made no secret of his affair and seemed comfortable to pass it around to others," he was quoted as saying.
"From there, it appears to have become fodder, because everyone is talking about it, and I assume it’s not hard to get — if you want it."
The photo has become so widespread that Sydney nightclub personality John Ibrahim, a close Bingle ally, has reportedly intervened on the model's behalf.
Ibrahim warned Fevola to stop spreading the image and to leave Bingle alone, the magazine said.
The latest scandal is likely to put increased pressure on what is rumoured to be an increasingly strained relationship between Bingle and fiancê Michael Clarke.
Only two days ago, cameras at the SCG captured a visibly distressed Bingle appearing to have an argument with Clarke.
Bingle and Clarke have denied claims their relationship is in trouble.
