Australian cricketer Michael Clarke has reportedly split from model fiancee Lara Bingle following the fallout from her nude photo scandal.

Last night A Current Affair's Ben Fordham reported that Clarke had ended the relationship.

"This news has come to me via a girlfriend of Lara Bingle's — she shared this news with at least one of her friends today," Fordham said.

"He (Clarke) may have come back here to support her but my information is he's also shared the news with Lara Bingle that their relationship is over, their wedding will not be going ahead."

OPINION: Headlining Clarke cannot be captain

When contacted by A Current Affair, Bingle's manager Max Markson did not deny the relationship was over but said Bingle had not told him any news about a break up.

The Daily Telegraph reports the pair are negotiating how to break off their engagement after Clarke returned from Australia's one day tour of New Zealand, only to spend the night alone after Bingle fled their Bondi apartment.

Sources told the newspaper Clarke was more concerned that Bingle had sold a tell-all interview to Woman's Day about her affair with AFL star Brendan Fevola than the fact a nude photo taken by Fevola had resurfaced.

The furore started last week after Woman's Day published a photo of Bingle in the shower taken by her former lover Fevola.

The media storm over the past week has appeared to have an impact on Bingle, with the model giving the finger to paparazzi outside the couple's $6 million luxury apartment on Tuesday.
