Reports of Sandra Bullock's husband's infidelity have gathered steam after details of lewd text messages were published by a tabloid magazine.
Alleged phone conversations between Jesse James and reported mistress Michelle McGee, printed by In Touch, appear to show a long-running relationship.
James calls McGee "babe" while she refers to him as "hot stuff" in one alleged exchange on July 9 last year.
A raunchier exchange took place one month earlier.
"You need it?" asks an unnamed person.
"Yup," the other replies.
"'Speaking of licking.'? [sic]" the first person writes back.
But perhaps the most damaging revelation is the claim that James reportedly texted McGee on March 14 — exactly a week after Bullock acknowledged her husband during her emotional acceptance speech for Best Actress at the Academy Awards.
"Just think'n bout u this morning," James reportedly texted.
Other alleged messages were deemed too crude to be published by ninemsn.
Heavily tattooed model McGee, who goes by the nickname "Bombshell", claims she and James had an 11-month affair after he told her his marriage had ended.
James, who married The Blind Side actress in 2005, yesterday released a public apology through People magazine.
While maintaining that the "vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue", the CEO of motorcycle company West Coast Choppers accepted blame for the scandal.
"It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way," James said.
