The TV show more than 2 million Australians want to watch

A contestant on America's Next Top Model has taken a shameful stroll down the catwalk — falling not once, but twice during the show.

The first fall happened while 21-year-old contestant Alexandra was making her way down the stairs to the stage.

"When I first fell I was horrified," she said.

"But the competitiveness was just rushing through me like: 'Oh my god you idiot, get up, pull yourself together, suck it up'."

The nervous Texan model continued strutting down the runway, which had been decked out with swinging golden gongs.

On her way back one of the gongs hit Alexandra in the side, sending her jumping off the platform.

She then climbed back onto the runway and walked off stage, where it was revealed she had cut her leg and ripped her Rachel Roy dress.

"I'm really competitive and I let things really get to me and that's something I never saw happening to myself," she said.

The giant pendulums were part of a special challenge for the models, who were supposed to dodge them while keeping form on the catwalk.

The show is currently in its 14th season in the United States.
