Katherine Heigl has suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction in the middle of an acceptance speech at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
The 31-year-old actress was on stage at the ShoWest convention to receive the Female Star Of The Year Award when the unfortunate mishap happened.
Just seconds into her speech, Heigl’s left shoulder strap came undone — sending the actress scrambling to avoid bearing all under the spotlight.
Heigl managed to keep a smile and she clutched the strap to her chest and continued with her speech, before host Billy Bush stepped in to hold the fabric in place.
The Grey’s Anatomy star was then able to relax and finish her speech before re-securing the strap with a pin backstage.
The mishap occurred after Heigl wowed crowds on the red carpet with her flowing red dress and Christian Louboutin heels.
The actress was being honoured for her turns in recent films 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth.
"Her ever-present charm and innate talent have made Heigl's transition from TV screen to silver screen seemingly effortless," said ShoWest organizer Robert Sunshine.
The glitzy event was also attended by other Hollywood beauties including Vanessa Hudgens, Amanda Seyfried and Sarah Jessica Parker.
