Reports that Scottish talent show sensation Susan Boyle has plans to tour Australia and New Zealand later in the year have been shot down by her record label.

Sony has denied that Boyle will be coming to Australia and says the reports early Wednesday are "completely false".

The 49-year-old, who took the world by storm when she appeared on Britain's Got Talent, was also set to perform at last month's Logies but pulled out citing tiredness.

But emails sent around the country on Wednesday by London Music Group stated she would be performing in Perth on August 10, 12 and 15; Sydney on August 17, 21 and 25; Melbourne on August 27, 28 and 29 and Brisbane on September 1, 3 and 5.

The emails said she would also perform twice in New Zealand, on August 2 and 5.

Ticketing details for all performances will be released soon, a spokesman from London Music Group said.

The multi-platinum artist is hoping her visit will "set right" the bad feelings caused by her Logies no show, the publicist said.

"It was unfortunate but this time round it's a dead cert," Chris Thompson from London Music Group said.

"She wants to set right what happened last month ... she's actually coming this time."

However, Sony said the reports were not accurate and the company planned to issue a statement later on Wednesday.

Boyle's new album is scheduled for release later this year.

Mr Thompson said earlier that, with the length of time Boyle would be spending in the southern hemisphere, she also hoped to enjoy a holiday.

"She's going to have some time off - she'll be having some recreational time in between concerts," he said.
