Twitter users inspired by the royal baby news are competing to dream up the most ludicrous names for a child who will one day be king or queen of England.
The social media site has exploded with improbable baby name ideas since Buckingham Palace announced the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her first child.
Using the hashtag #UnlikelyRoyalBabyNames, thousands of Twitter users have put forward their own ideas or retweeted others'.
"Shaniqua" is the current people's choice, but "Peach", "Chardonnay" and "Luke Skywalker" are all popular names tweeters have agreed on not calling the baby.
Serious bookmakers meanwhile believe the royal couple may name their baby after a close relative, with Prince William's late mother Diana among the front-runners.
The baby will be third in line to accede to the throne, meaning a King John II or Queen Anne II could be on the cards.
The British royal pregnancy, the first to be announced on Twitter, prompted an outpouring of well wishes from friends and fans.
Close friend and pop-singer, Cheryl Cole tweeted: "I'm so excited that we're having a royal baby!!! Congratulations to Kate and Wills!!!!!!"
British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted: "I'm delighted by the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby. They will make wonderful parents".
