A New York man seeking a roommate has released a song and film clip to promote his quest for companionship after earlier recording a song with his ex-girlfriend announcing their break-up.
Jonathan Mann uploaded 'Come Live With Me in Brooklyn' last Friday and while the video has not yet landed him a flatmate it has already had more than 30,000 views as well as mainstream media coverage.
In the song Mr Mann describes the hipster Williamsburg neighbourhood where he lives before spruiking the benefits of his apartment and the room he is offering.
"Here is the room, it's 11 by 9," Mr Mann sings.
"It's got this closet and it's bigger than mine."
"The two bedrooms are at opposite ends. Maximum privacy for alone time with friends."
The tune is the latest instalment in Mr Mann's 'Song a Day' series, in which he writes and records a song about everyday events in his life and posts it online.
The Brooklyn resident made headline in December when a song he and his former girlfriend performed about why they had chosen to spilt up went viral.
Mr Mann began posting songs online in 2009 — his roommate search song was number 1492.
