Brad Pitt insists his relationship with Angelina Jolie began after he and Jennifer Aniston split.
Hollywood star Brad Pitt has slammed allegations that he cheated on his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, when he fell in love with Angelina Jolie while filming the movie Mr and Mrs Smith.
In an interview with W magazine, Pitt responded
to Aniston's claims that it was "uncool" how Jolie had bragged about how she and Pitt fell in love while making the movie.
Calling Aniston a "sweetheart," Pitt said that the controversy had been inflated by gossip magazines.
"What people don't understand is that we filmed (Mr and Mrs Smith) for a year," he explains.
"We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't.
"I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.
"(The film) will mean something to our kids. It will, that's all."
