A US prison guard has been officially fired for posing naked in Playboy.
Jessie Lunderby, 21, was handed a termination letter yesterday after being sent on paid leave since June 20.
Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder said her modelling had become a "distraction" in the Arkansas jail.
"Needless to say, your hobby was no longer a private pursuit; nor is it any longer a mere hobby," KFSM News reported Helder as saying in the document.
"Due to your choice to present yourself as a county detention officer from Fayetteville, Arkansas, we have been confronted with resulting workplace issues."
Lunderby appeared as Playboy's "Cyber Girl of the Week" on June 7.
Raunchy pictures of her wearing a body paint officer's outfit and posing alongside Verne "Mini-Me" Troyer at the Playboy Mansion in May have also circulated online.
Her former employee said her racy pictures had been viewed over 2 million times and she had now placed herself in danger.
"You are now a celebrity, of sorts," he reportedly wrote.
"Your chosen manner of expressing yourself is such that it creates concerns for your safety and consequently, the safety of others."
It is unclear whether Lunderby will pursue her right to appeal the decision.
