The lead singer of British pop band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool has been found dead after an apparent suicide attempt, according to reports.

Charles Haddon, 22, died after the group performed at Belgium's Pukkelpop festival yesterday.

According to Dutch news reports, he had jumped from a tower in a backstage parking lot.

The three-piece band were on a tour of Europe and were scheduled to perform in the Parklife festival in Australia next month.

The band have three singles and were due to release their debut album in October.

They were planning on doing a headline tour of the UK to promote the album, NME.com reports.

Haddon is the second musician to die at this year's Pukkelpop festival, with The Call's Michael Been suffering a fatal heart attack on Thursday.
