Molly Meldrum has earned the ire of his neighbours in Melbourne after he threw a wild party that went on into the early hours of this morning, according to reports.

Police were called to Meldrum's Richmond home after a terrified neighbour called 000 three times when a bottle was thrown over his fence and smashed near his bedroom window, The Herald Sun reports.

The neighbour, who has asked to remain anonymous, said the party kicked off at 7pm and was still going at 10.30am this morning.

It is believed the function was an end-of-year party for the Melbourne Storm, who played their last game in this year's NRL competition yesterday.

Meldrum is the Storm's self-proclaimed biggest fan and number one ticket holder.

His neighbour said they had come to tolerate frequent "all-night benders" by Meldrum.

"But this one was beyond acceptable," one reportedly said.

The neighbour who called police said would be making a formal complaint to Melbourne Storm.

"The conduct of that football club was appalling ... The swearing was absolutely incredible."

The neighbour said that police warnings did little to tame the party.

Neither Meldrum nor the Storm have commented on last night's party.
