The spats on the new series of Australia's Next Top Model have intensified, with one of the contestants ordered to anger management for her fiery temper.

Cassi Van Den Dungen, 16, punched a wall and threatened to rip fellow contestant Lola Van Vorst's head off for stealing her line during an ad shoot.

"She's lucky this isn't her," she reportedly said as she threw her fist at the wall.

Aspiring model, Mikarla Hussey, yesterday told ninemsn about another explosive moment, when contestant Claire woke up Cassi at 9.30am.

"She's walked in the shower, opened the door, turned the water off and said, 'If you wake me up again I'll pull your hair out of your f------ skull'," she said.

"This girl was butt-naked. That just doesn't happen… but it happened in the house."

Cassi admitted she was no stranger to playground punch-ups and was expelled from one private school in Victoria but denied she needed treatment.

But new host Sarah Murdoch said she hoped counseling would equip the teenager with some general life skills.

"Cassi's way to cope with the pressure was to lash out and you couldn't just leave this girl like that," she was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph.

"She had to learn this is the real world... they aren't at school anymore."
