She was bullied and branded a "prissy bitch" by her rivals but former Australia's Next Top Model beauty Alamela Rowan has had the last laugh, according to series judge Charlotte Dawson.

The 18-year-old red head has booked a string of modelling jobs across Asia while her tormentor, series winner Demelza Reveley, has failed to crack the cut-throat overseas market.

"Alamela is not afraid of the competition and she's out there pursuing work, " Dawson told ninemsn.

"Let's face it, [Alamela's] in Asia, she's three-dress sizes smaller than Demelza, so she can work there because she's got the body. "

Dawson, whose critical opinion often divides viewers of the show, said Rowan's overseas jaunts proved success really was the best revenge.

Reveley's agent Priscilla Leighton Clarke said her client's dreams of becoming an international success had not been fulfilled.

The 16-year-old recently became the face of Sydney's antiquated Strand Arcade and modelled make-up for cosmetics kingpin Napoleon.

Rowan, meanwhile, is in demand overseas.

"One of my favourite jobs was modelling a $38,000 watch hand-crafted from iron recovered from the Titanic," Rowan told ninemsn, just hours before boarding a plane from Singapore to Taiwan.

"My current contract in Taiwan will be completed in July and then I'm being sent to Thailand.

"I've mainly been doing commercial work and have modelled for clients like Moshi Moshi jewellers, Levis and alldressedup."

She also booked a gig with British Hairdresser of the Year Angelo Seminara and was chosen to walk the catwalk on Project Runway Australia.

Although she is working overseas, Rowan has yet to make it as big as the 2007 winner Alice Burdeu, a porcelain-faced beauty who has become a fixture on catwalks in Singapore, London and Milan.

"Alice was the most successful winner from any Top Model series but Demelza is very different," Leighton-Clarke told ninemsn.

"Alice was a huge success and Demelza has big shoes to fill."

As part of the Next Top Model prize, Reveley shot an eight-page spread for fashion bible Vogue but, unlike Burdeu, missed out on appearing on the prized cover.

She recently dressed up as Alice in Wonderland for a shoot with Sydney Arcade.

Reveley could not be reached for comment.
