Rowe's Jackson interview fake, says lawyer

A newspaper interview that quoted Michael Jackson’s ex-wife as saying he was not the biological father of his two children is a fake, her attorney says.

And a tabloid report that provided details from the "leaked autopsy" of the pop icon's body is also untrue, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

The News of the World interview with former Jackson wife Debbie Rowe, which has since been removed from its website, quoted her as saying: "I offered him my womb … [but] it wasn't Michael's sperm."

"I got paid for it, and I've moved on. I know I will never see my children again."

But Rowe's lawyer Marta Almli claims the quotes were made up, saying: "The interview did not occur … the article is a complete fabrication."

Rowe, who was married to Jackson for three years, is the mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11.

Jackson's third child, Prince Michael, 11, was born to a surrogate whose identity has never been made public.

All three children are now in the care of Jackson's mother Katherine after a judge ruled her as their guardian.

Meanwhile, a graphic report from Britain's The Sun newspaper which claimed Jackson was "bald, bruised and with four needle marks near his heart" after he died four days ago has also been branded a fake.

"The report that is being published did not come from our office,'' Assistant Chief Ed Winter from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said.

"I don't know where that information came from, or who that information came from. It is not accurate.

"Some of it is totally false … the report did not come as a result of our autopsy, or of the private autopsy."

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff approved the appointment of Katherine Jackson, 79, as the children's guardian based on papers submitted on her behalf by her lawyer.

A petition filed at Los Angeles Superior Court asked for Katherine Jackson to be appointed guardian of the children

The children have been in the care of their grandmother since Jackson's death last week at the age of 50 in Los Angeles.

A hearing has been scheduled for July 6, court officials said. The court had earlier said the hearing would take place on August 3.

Family attorney Londell McMillan had confirmed yesterday Katherine Jackson would launch a legal claim for custody of the children. "She will seek custody of the children. She loves them dearly," McMillan told CNN.

And Although Rowe reportedly signed away her parental rights to Jackson, some family law experts believe she has a strong chance of gaining custody of the two children on grounds she is the sole surviving biological parent.

McMillan, however, indicated Rowe would face a challenge from the Jacksons in the event of any custody challenge.

"(Michael's) children are in great care with Mrs Jackson," McMillan said.

"They're in a loving environment. She's a great grandma.

"I couldn't think of anyone better for these children than a grandma like Miss Katherine Jackson and the loving support of family of the Jacksons."

Rowe has kept a low profile since her divorce from Jackson and has not spoken publicly since his death.

There have been conflicting reports on Rowe's intentions, with one former associate saying she was in shock over Jackson's death but in time would certainly seek custody of their two children.
