Tom Cruise busted some moves, dropping to floor and doing 'The Worm', when challenged to a dance-off at a wedding last weekend.

Video of the impromptu dance contest shows Cruise going head to head with a fellow guest at the wedding of Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol producer David Ellison and his new wife Sandy Modic.

Dancing to Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger', Cruise stepped into the centre of the circle to the applause of the crowd, smoothed his hair back and did The Worm.

He then did the half-splits before challenging his opponent to better him.

The pair battled it out for another round before calling it quits with a hug.
