The Wiggles were lost for words when pressed on the fate of ousted lead singer Sam Moran during an uncomfortable television interview this morning.

After five years starring as the yellow Wiggle, Sam Moran left without getting a chance to talk to some of the other band members.

The group announced yesterday that original yellow Wiggle Greg Page would be rejoining the band, bumping out the man who filled his shoes for five years.

Blue Wiggle Anthony Field struggled to reply when questioned on Moran's feelings about leaving the group.

"I haven't spoken to him, I don't know," he told TODAY's Richard Wilkins.

"Maybe you'll have to talk to Sam to find out what he thinks.

"What Sam does now is Sam's thing. His contract has come to an end."

Page left the children's super group in 2006 with a mystery illness that was later diagnosed as the debilitating disease dysautonomia.

He denied speculation that his return was prompted by money issues reported about last year.

"That was a story that was put out there based on misleading information, which was very disappointing," he said.

"I am back because I was asked to return and it's something I really enjoy doing."
