Sacked Wiggle Sam Moran has reportedly received a number of offers for high-profile TV gigs, including a spot on Dancing with the Stars, since he was ousted from the band.

Magazine and TV networks have been fighting to do a deal with the children's entertainer to get his side of the story, after he was replaced by original Yellow Wiggle Greg Page on Tuesday, the Herald Sun reports.

Seven would not confirm reports it was trying to nab Moran for its celebrity dancing competition, Dancing with the Stars.

The ABC and children's pay-TV network Nickelodeon have also reportedly expressed an interest in hiring Moran.

ABC TV executive head of children's television told the newspaper he was open to developing a show with the performer but had not been approached.

Nickelodeon Australia general manager Ben Richardson said Moran was a "talented performer" and he would consider screening a show featuring the star.

The former Wiggle indicated he wanted to stay in the children's entertainment business in a video to his fans, posted on his Facebook page on Thursday.

"I will miss seeing your smiling faces from the stage, but I am sure you will see me singing, dancing and entertaining you again in the future in another way, shape or form," he said.

The replacement Wiggle was sacked on Tuesday, his daughter's birthday, after spending five years as the group's lead singer.

The original yellow Wiggle Greg Page left the group for health reasons in November 2006, collecting $20 million.

Moran was hired to replace him but was reportedly treated as a contracted employee rather than a member of the band.
