Anjelica Houston throws water at Jimmy Fallon

Actress Anjelica Houston has made a splash on a popular US talk show by throwing a glass of water on host Jimmy Fallon.

The Smash actress was chatting about her notoriously bitchy character Eileen Rand on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday when the actress threw a glass of water all over the bemused host.

Fallon had told Houston that he liked Rand’s habit of splashing male characters with water, particularly her ex-husband on the show.

“Every scene with your ex-husband you throw a drink in his face,” Fallon said.

“You’re good at that by the way, you’re very, very good at that.”

Fallon then introduced a clip from Smash in which Houston’s character demonstrates her drink-tossing trademark.

As the scene ends Fallon urges his already applauding guests to give Houston a big round of applause when life suddenly imitates art and the actress douses Fallon with a nearby glass of water.

“I knew you were gonna do that,” the smiling host said.
