True romance has once again blossomed on rural reality dating show The Farmer Wants a Wife, with two more contestants getting engaged.

Lonely farmer Brad Crane, from the NSW country town of Lithgow, will tie the knot with Stacie Marmion after popping the question over takeaway fish and chips.

The pair fell in love on national television and have enjoyed a whirlwind six-month romance after appearing on the Nine Network TV show.

The Farmer Wants a Wife series five auditions.

Mr Crane, a cattle farmer, told Woman's Day magazine he planned to propose during a romantic island holiday, but found he could not wait any longer.

He asked Marmion to marry him during a meal of fish and chips and a game of charades on a beach on the NSW south coast, he said.

"Her lips started quivering and luckily she said yes," Mr Crane said.

"To be honest, I went on the show for a bit of fun.

"I didn't think there would be much chance of finding a bloody wife on national television. I still can't believe my luck."

The couple are not the only perfect match to be made on The Farmer Wants a Wife, with contestants from the first series Chris Newsome and Kim Tierney marrying in 2007 and having their first child this year.

Melbourne photographer Jo Fincham and her Mt Gambier farmer Rob Hodge, from the show's second series, are also engaged.
