The Iberian wolf is considered a menace to farmers but one of the endangered animals has leapt into favour at a top photography competition.
Photographer Jose Luis Rodriguez's shot The storybook wolf was handed first prize at the Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in London.
More than 43,000 from 94 countries entered this year's competition, with the judges' top 100 snaps to go on display at the city's Natural History Museum from today.
