The photographer of an award-winning snap of an Iberian wolf has been stripped of his title over claims he used a tame animal.
Jose Luis Rodriguez's shot The Storybook Wolf was named the winning entry at the Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in October.
But organisers have now disqualified Rodriguez after finding the artist had most likely used an "animal model" to stage the eerie scene.
While the photographer denies the allegations, he won't be awarded his $17,900 prize.
