A series of images have emerged online which appear to show a squirrel attacking a dog to save its baby.
The mother leaps from a tree and claws at the face of the dog, which had trapped the squirrel pup between its paws.
The baby then scurries back up the tree with its mother.
The spectacular shots first appeared on Weebly.com, the Daily Mail reports.
It is not clear if the photos have been edited.
