A paddle boarder has been injured when an rider-less jet ski crashed into him at the Roxy Pro surf contest on the Gold Coast.
The man, in his 40s and only known as Dave, was hit by the jet ski when an event safety officer fell off the jet ski when hit by a large wave at Duranbah Beach yesterday.
The paddle boarder suffered a broken leg. Waterway authorities are now investigating the incident.
