A Dutch woman underwent emergency surgery after swallowing an entire cutlery set, doctors have revealed.
Margaret Daalman swallowed 78 pieces of silverware — including forks and spoons but not knives — during one sitting.
The photographs of her X-ray were taken 30 years ago but released this year in a medical magazine.
"She seems to have been suffering from some sort of obsession and every time she sat down for a meal she would ignore the food and eat the cutlery," one doctor said.
