These are incredible pictures of the moment up to 30 sharks gorged on a whale off the coast of South Africa.

Scientists towed the carcass of a Bryde's whale to Seal Island near Cape Town, to monitor the feeding behaviour of the great white shark.

They discovered the sharks didn't fight each other for the food, and tested each part before eating it.
