Airbus has shown off its plans for future airliner design with its nature-inspired Concept Cabin.
The computer generated images, released ahead of the Paris Air Show, show a plane featuring a bionic membrane structure imitating a bird's bone structure.
The biopolymer membrane will be able to control light entering the cabin and also cabin temperature.
Inside, cabin passengers will be able to communicate and interact with new technologies.
This is what Airbus hopes its jets will look like in 2050. (Airbus)
