Thousands of citizens from major cities such as New York, London and Mexico City shed their pants and headed for the local underground train stations to celebrate No Pants Subway Ride 2012.
The annual event, held on January 8, encourages participants to drop their daks in the name of fun and ride around the rail network as if there is nothing odd about commuting without trousers.
The first No Pants Ride was held in 2009 and participation has increased gradually since the inaugural undie run.
A low key event was also held in Sydney yesterday.
