ninemsn readers have shown that phone camera technology has advanced so much it produces photos that are practically indistinguishable from those taken by professional cameras.
Cameras were first put in phones around a decade ago, leading to a greater interest in photography, Australian Photography managing editor James Ostinga said.
"There's certainly been an increase in resolution and effects available ... a lot more people are using mobile phones for day-to-day photography."
