Embattled Brisbane children's hospice, Zoe's Place, is expected to be placed into liquidation following advice from administrators.
The hospice, one of only three hospices for terminally ill children in Australia, was placed in voluntary administration last month after alleged breaches of patient care and safety.
Staff and parents of patients lodged complaints through the Health Quality and Complaints Commission (HQCC) in early May about patient care at the hospice.
While the Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) and Zoe's Place board are investigating the allegations, SV Partners, heading the administration process, will convene a meeting of creditors on July 14.
SV Partners director, Terry Rose, said the administrators expected to recommend to creditors that Zoe's Place Limited be placed in liquidation.
"Nonetheless I'm continuing to hold discussions with other service providers who might be capable of taking over the operations of Zoe's Place Limited," Mr Rose said.
"In the meantime, ongoing support for the children and their families has been the priority for ourselves and Queensland Health.
"We were determined to ensure services continued to be provided during these school holidays.
"Beyond that, we've been working together to ensure all the families supported by Zoe's Place have been offered ongoing assistance where required."
Zoe's Place is located in the southwest Brisbane suburb of Mt Ommaney and provides palliative, end of life care and respite for children from Queensland and northern NSW.
New arrangements for all children with current bookings are expected to be made by July 13.
