A second man is behind bars, accused of murdering a young Sydney woman whose skeletal remains were found in a shallow bushland grave.
Michael Franz Widmer, 29, appeared in Sydney's Central Local Court on Friday charged with the murder of 23-year-old Melloney Menhennitt.
When Ms Menhennitt was last seen alive at 5.50am on March 12, 2004, she was allegedly involved in a heated argument with at least two men at Manly.
Her parents reported her missing about two weeks later.
A fossicker found her remains near Manly in September last year, in bushland off North Head Scenic Drive, within the Sydney Harbour National Park.
On January 20 this year, police charged Cameron Scott, 42, from the northern harbour suburb of Fairlight, with Ms Menhennitt's murder.
At the time they were still seeking a woman and a second man in connection with the killing.
Detectives on Friday arrested Widmer at Kings Cross and charged him.
Widmer, of no fixed address, did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
He and Scott, 42, are to appear in Central Local Court on March 3.
